Virtual Reality Training Market-Use Of Virtual Reality For Training Enhances The Training Experience

Abstract:The use of modern information and communication technologies plays a key role in the current global competitive environment of long-term manufacturing company sustainability. Based on the requirements of Slovak industrial companies (both domestic and foreign companies), there is a need to implement these technologies into the university teaching process. Therefore, this article describes virtual and augmented reality applications into the teaching process of Digital Factory module at the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of Zilina. The main aim of this study was to test and document how helpful immersive technologies could be in a teaching process. There were a group of students who took part in this study whose job was to assemble a specific assembly construction, first without the help of virtual technologies and second with the help of augmented and virtual reality. The results were collected through operation images and chronometry, these were then analyzed the conclusions stated in the article were obtained. In the conclusion, the final part of the article describes a general evaluation of virtual training use in the industrial practice of long-term industrial company sustainability. Keywords: technology enhanced learning; advanced industrial engineering; innovative technologies; immersive technologies; virtual reality; augmented reality; case study

Anything that cannot be achieved with the traditional training pedagogies is done easily with AR technology. From 3D textbooks to human body models, AR can be used to create an exciting learning experience.

Virtual Reality (VR) has taken the world by storm by offering new and innovative ways to engage with employees. Business executives realized the potential of this technology to enhance learning and development initiatives for a workforce. Virtual reality training is definitely here to say and it will only grow bigger.

Virtual Reality Training is the digital simulation of lifelike scenarios. Trainees enter a 360 active learning environment, experiencing sights and sounds that dissolve the barrier between virtual and actual reality. Using the headset and controllers, trainees look, speak, and move about freely in a 3D virtual setting, interacting with simulated real-world tools, machinery, and other trainees and instructors. Critically, with virtual reality, workplace scenarios that were once too difficult, expensive, or dangerous to train for, become vastly more practical, cost-effective, and safe in an immersive simulation.

Nowadays, VR is truly gaining momentum. According to the Fortune Business Insights report, the global virtual reality market is expected to grow from $6.30 billion in 2021 to $84.09 billion by 2028. Moreover, the survey of 33 top UK construction organizations found that 36% of them are planning to implement VR technology in their processes.

Using a VR construction training simulator, trainees learn how to manage heavy machinery or use their tools and get valuable hands-on experience safely. Virtual reality in construction training is a great way to reduce risks, enhance safety, and increase general training level.

One of the most vivid use cases of VR in construction is a collaborative virtual reality experience. Such shared experience allows for bridging the gap between construction workers and all stakeholders wherever they are. The virtual collaborative experience makes for a virtual conference room where people meet to discuss current issues, view project updates, and make changes. According to research, by 2030, 23 million jobs globally will be set to use virtual reality staff training programs. And the construction industry is no exception since it's known for being hazardous. Using virtual reality in construction training helps to provide a safe and risk-free working environment.

As an example, we can show our work, namely a virtual reality simulation of the skyscraper construction site. The main idea of this VR training simulation is to let workers reproduce their work on construction sites, train their skills, and enhance safety knowledge.

We have deep expertise in creating virtual interior design, real estate business representation, image recognition, a visualization tool for designers, and many more. Our well-qualified virtual reality developers will guide you through the entire process: from the conceptualization stage to the first live launch to help guarantee success.

The advantages include a highly interactive and super convenient customer experience, effective construction management, risk-free training to gain hands-on experience, a preview of the future outcomes to spot misconceptions at the planning stage, and productive cooperation with clients worldwide using a virtual conference room.

Among the popular VR technologies in construction, ARki, SmartReality, Unreal Engine, Visidraft, and Storyboard VR are worth noting. The onyx team has also developed similar virtual reality construction software, contact us for more details.

Manifest removes traditional barriers to training such as expert and equipment availability, travel, inadequate and unproductive classroom environments, by providing an on-the-job tool that uses augmented reality and training software to get less experienced workers up to speed and productive faster.

Manifest software can be used to create augmented reality work instructions enhanced with videos, photos, and virtual 3D models to provide expert guidance for the most complex maintenance procedures and production processes

Augmented reality and training material enhances the learning experience by providing more data and context overlaid on real world or virtual equipment while focusing students on learning the task. Students can follow AR work instructions for a structured learning experience at their own pace.

Do away with uncomfortable, unproductive, and inflexible classrooms. Train in the field with real or virtual equipment. Better learning content and an enhanced training process provides better deskless worker support.

Many young workers have grown up with smart devices such as smartphones, tablets, and video games. They tend to embrace and benefit from augmented reality training tools which presents learning content that is familiar and informative.

While cost savings can vary widely based on a variety of factors, the Brandon Hall Group reports (based on their experiences) VR training simulations can save companies upwards of more than $2,000 (compared to a standard training program). As the cost of VR equipment keeps dropping, business use of VR training is on the rise.

VR can be both an individualized learning experience, or a group training tool. One of the advantages of VR is its ability to allow people in different physical locations to explore and interact in the same virtual environment. Managers can now coordinate team training sessions between continents and across time zones.

Virtual reality training in construction typically covers health and safety procedures, such as the handling of dangerous materials and hazard perception. It can also convey technical training for equipment maintenance. In all cases, VR allows construction teams to improve their skills and safety awareness in a risk-free situation with total immersion.

This learning process and interconnected continuing education can be facilitated and enhanced with VR training. While pilots have long benefited from simulation-based training, on-the-ground crews can now also benefit from fully operational virtual maintenance bays to practice aircraft care.

The healthcare sector experiences life or death situations daily, but hands-on experience with rare injuries or illnesses can be expensive to achieve. Many healthcare institutions are choosing VR to provide realistic training for their staff.

Manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and sports teams are all seeing the benefits of VR training. As costs continue to drop and level-out, this technology will feed the future of employee education. Using a system that provides for multi-user functionality means enabling entire groups to be trained at one time, collaborating to find real-time solutions in the virtual space.

At Boeing, AR training has had a dramatic impact on the productivity and quality of complex aircraft manufacturing procedures. In one Boeing study, AR was used to guide trainees through the 50 steps required to assemble an aircraft wing section involving 30 parts. With the help of AR, trainees completed the work in 35% less time than trainees using traditional 2-D drawings and documentation. And the number of trainees with little or no experience who could perform the operation correctly the first time increased by 90%.

Virtual reality (VR) is the name given to the technology that allows a user to simulate a situation or experience of interest, using a VR headset, within an interactive but computer-generated environment. The simulation is immersive and may require the use of special 3-D goggles with a screen, or gloves that provide sensory feedback, to help the user learn from experience in this virtual world.

Virtual reality is used in many areas of healthcare, in a variety of applications. These include medical training, for both doctors in training and students, patient treatment, medical marketing, and educating people about a disease or medical condition or process. It is estimated that the global market for VR could be more than 4 billion dollars by 2020.

Computer graphics have made it possible to recreate any part of the body in great detail, with extreme faithfulness to reality. Moreover, training can be offered using scenarios that closely mimic common surgical situations.

Again, when patients need to understand their medical condition, virtual reality comes to the rescue by providing an understandable and detailed reconstruction of the organs and tissues of interest. This helps the patient to grasp the principles of the treatment, increasing satisfaction with the intervention.
